My husband and I just started watching this show called The Clim.

I think it's on Netflix, but if you Google around you'll be able to find it.

It's about 10 contestants competing as rock climbers to win $100,000 and a sponsorship.

Now I love watching shows that really push people to the edge

athletes specifically because it's almost like athletes who compete in this

extreme way they don't see boundaries somehow which I love to observe because it

opens up my mind just through the act of paying attention to how other

people think and I want to be around people who don't see boundaries even if it's people on television.

And look I'm not going to be scaling any big Moroccan scary-looking walls anytime soon, but I love to pay attention to people who are who are taking risks. And as I was watching this show, so there

are these 10 people, different ages, different backgrounds competing for this prize, I'm so

obsessed, by now you know know this with the mental game. What makes

someone win? What makes someone stick around? What makes someone

persevere? What gives someone stamina? What makes someone excel in a competition when someone else is scared and drops out.

Now I almost love climbing as a metaphor for many things in life.

Right? There are lots of old sayings around climbing,

like you know, the man atop a mountain didn't fall there

and it's not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves. And the reason I like these old sayings is because they are true.

And I want to share with you an observation that I made while watching the climb

between the different contestants.

You can tell they're all wildly fit, extremely experienced.

Really, it's anyone's competition, especially at the beginning. But, mmm-mm, there is a difference
