Hello and welcome to The Week Junior show. I'm Bex and I'm joined by writers Eve and Joe from the Week Junior, the magazine Making Sense of the World for 8 to 14 year olds.

Now in a week where world leaders met for a NATO summit in the Netherlands

and a volcanic eruption in Indonesia disrupted flights,

we're going to be discussing some of the other stories, events and people that inspired the

Week Junior team. Make sure you're listening closely because at the end of the episode,

we'll be asking a question about what you've heard. if you answer it correctly you could win a prize but first before all of that uh joe and eve there is something i want to talk to you about please on this week's well-being page there's some top tips for preparing for a school residential trip which lots of pupils i think will be going on in the next few So it got me thinking, what is the best school trip you've ever been on? Joe, how about you?

Well, at senior school, I went to the Isle of White for a few days on a geography trip.

We stayed at a PGL Centre, and I had a look this morning, and they do still exist.

We did some outdoor adventure activities, climb things, jumped off

things. And I remember us taking the trip out to see the needles too, which for anyone who doesn't

know, are famous lumps of rock that stick out from the sea and they're quite spectacular.

And that was that was really fun. It was a really fun few days. I didn't know what the needles

were. That was interesting to know. Thank you.

We had a residential in year five and in year six.
