Today, we are thrilled to have Melissa Urban, the co-founder of Whole30 and author of the upcoming book, "Whole 30," join us for an enlightening discussion. Together, Lisa and Melissa dive deep into the transformative impact of diet and mindset on health and energy levels. In this episode, you'll discover the fascinating connection between trauma and food responses, along with the role that memory and history play in our food perceptions. Lisa and Melissa explore the emotional relationships we form with food, how it affects our habits, and the importance of focusing on how we feel rather than chasing elusive numbers on a scale. As they share personal stories and insights, you'll hear about the challenges and triumphs of navigating changes in health, particularly during pivotal life stages like menopause. Lisa opens up about her own journey with health and nutrition at age 45, discussing everything from hot sweats to gut issues, and how adjusting her diet has transformed her energy levels and reduced inflammation. Tune in as we uncover the secrets to balancing health, success, and self-identity, and empower you to be the hero of your own life.
