This is Matalea and it's this week whatever the fuck this week is because all the

weeks of the fucking same week because nothing's happening except there's

some bad stuff happening anytime I open the fuck happening. with myself to look at the news less, but somehow I can't do it.

Somehow I continue to look at the news,

and I made an even more specific deal with myself

to not look at the news right after I wake up.

But what do I do right after I wake up? Every single day, I look at the news.

So that's cool, but I'm going to put the news on hold for a little while and talk about something else.

I watched a movie. I watch a lot of movies but I watched this one movie in particular that I do want to talk about

Does anybody remember the movie starring Sandra Bullock and Jeremy Northam and Dennis Miller from 1995 directed by Erwin Winkler. A little movie I like to call

The Net. Now to any millennial or younger, you will probably, probably not only have no idea what the net is, but if you were to see it, it would

look to you like, um, fucking,

it's a wonderful life looked to me when I was younger.

It's like it's archaic.

I mean, the net, first of all the net

the net the fact that there was a time when the internet was referred to as the net.

Enough that there would be a movie called The Net.

And when that movie came out called The Net,

everyone who saw it saw an ad for it, saw a trailer for it, heard about it, heard The Net, and thought,

I know what that is. That's the Internet. That's that thing I've heard about called the internet. This is 1995, okay? This is like circuit dial-up.
