before an attack begins, is one of the lessons the US has learned from

Russia's invasion of Ukraine. We don't want to wait till the fighting begins.

We want to get stuff there beforehand.

China was obviously not happy about this announcement as a spokesperson for their Taiwan Affairs office said,

no matter how much of the ordinary people's taxpayer money the Taiwanese separatist forces spend,

no matter how many US weapons it will not shake our resolve to solve the Taiwan problem.
