Hello I'm Bex and welcome to the Week Junior show.

Today I'm joined by two of the team from The Week Junior, The magazine Making

Sense of the World for 8 to 14 year olds.

We've got Deputy Editor Rahal and Writer Eve.

In this episode we're going to be talking about the Winter Youth Olympic Games,

a monkey on the run in Scotland and we'll be having a debate about whether it's okay to keep exotic pets.

There were also some special guests in the Week Junior offices this week

will be sharing their top well-being tips later in the episode for Children's Mental Health

Week. But speaking of exotic pets, that's got me thinking, if you could have any animal

for a pet, any animal at all, what would it be?

Now, I'm not going to lie to you. My immediate first thought was a polar bear.

I'd quite like a polar bear as a pal. I feel like I could you know I mean I know they're kind of

dangerous so if anybody's listening I know but I feel like if if you became

friends with it it could give me a big hug. I think a Polar Bear hug would be

lovely and we could hang out together we could watch TV together I could

go visit my polar bear pal on the ice and that's what I was thinking so Raul how about you?

I wish I'd thought of a polar bear that does sound very cudd. I mean what was going through my mind was

lizards, bearded dragons, geckos and they're a bit kind of yeah I'm not really into them and

then I thought my daughter is obsessed with unicorns and not just any unicorns, but rainbow unicorns. We're talking rainbow unicorn slippers, rainbow unicorn jumpers, rainbow unicorn coloring books. So yeah I think if she was to listen to this

and hear me not say anything but a rainbow unicorn I would be in lots of trouble and

obviously you know rainbow unicorn would be fun to have around the house

but they certainly add some color to the household I imagine so a rainbow unicorn a great shout
