So, of course, you guys know that there was a tragedy last week in Colorado, and Todd and I are

not at all going to get into specifics because you know what it was about.

But obviously, a trauma like that for the people who knew the people who were shot or knew the families or were from that town or had some connection, it's very traumatizing.

And for children who don't know anybody but watched the news, that's traumatizing, even if they don't know anybody.

And what I thought would be important for us to talk about today was how to support children when they are traumatized.

And what we have to understand is this is a pretty grand scale trauma, But a child can be traumatized by many things.

Issues in their family, divorce, any kind of abuse. An older child could be traumatized by

failing a class or by seeing something violent in the school.

I guess my point is there's no trauma's relative and that a lot of people say, well,

they shouldn't feel traumatized or wider are they having issues.

It wasn't that bad.

And the thing is, is everything in life is relative and pain is pain.
