I'm Brian, I'm on the phone with Ashfin, and today we're talking about Child's Play 2 from 1990,

directed by John Lafey, written by Don Mancini, starring Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Brad

Dorff. In this movie, Chucky seeks out Andy, who is now in foster care in another attempt

to try to possess Andy's body.

And we chose this as a continuation of sequel September,

because from what I can gather,

this is one of the most well-loved sequels as far as big horror franchises go.

And I think this might be Brian from the Blood Buddies podcast's favorite movie.

So shout out to Brian if he's listening.

And as we've mentioned before, this is a big hole for me and Ashton.

We have this entire franchise to get through aside from the first one and this latest one that came out in 2019.

Ash, you haven't seen any of the other ones, right?

No, yeah. I've only seen the first one, the remake, and now this is the first time I'm seeing this one.

Yeah, same.

I feel like I've seen little tiny clips of the other ones, but I can't say I've seen them.

Yeah.

Why is this one considered such, like, a prominent sequel?

I don't know. I think it was just well liked,

or at least maybe if not at the time, like a lot of horror fans look back on this one fondly.

Yeah, it's surprising. I mean, like, is it that different than like the sequel to Nightmare on El streets or um like Halloween or like any of those

other ones uh it's just yeah i wasn't sure exactly what stood out about this one compared to other
