have underestimated the value of Patrick Mahomes across the league.

Welcome back to Lockdown Chiefs. I'm Ryan Tracy, the founder of Rogue Analytics,

as well as your host over at RGR Football on YouTube. Check that out as well and I just

want to say this sounds completely counterintuitive right? It's it's conversation that doesn't even really enter into your mind space as somebody who follows the chiefs covers the chiefs or is a chiefs fan directly.

But we're going to talk about what he did. A great piece by Torres-Paylor came out today that we have to cover the mechanisms of how Patrick Mahomes is making a difference outside of the world of football. And we're going to cover it later in the show

how these running back duties might be divvied up when we take a look at the running back

core but I want to start today because it's just such a strange feeling to realize that as a

fan base that has struggled for so long to get a quarterback that can really feel like can take the

franchise to the next level in acquiring Patrick Mahmns and watching him

mature and watching him take over the league as a fan it's one thing because you have the interior

perspective you have the knowledge of what the organization's been like

what the process has been the day and day out it's one of those things where you

don't notice your your nephew has grown

until you don't see them for a while. And that's kind of the feeling that I get today. As we hear a lot of stories being written, a lot of fans speaking out about how they feel about

Patrick Mahomes is the face of the franchise for other fan bases across the league and a lot

of us spurred by what the video did in particular

we'll talk about that next segment but before we get into the minutia of of what he did

uh... to try and raise awareness for what is one of the biggest topics of our time right now.

It's the fact that it's almost as though as people who follow what he does all the time, we almost don't appreciate it as much because we've seen that incremental growth.
