From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs this is the

locked on chiefs podcast the chiefs have a couple of racles coming in free

agency with two key players that are making a difference on this roster.

Welcome back to Lockdown Chiefs.

We have a lot to talk about today,

and that is that there are mock drafts, there are players moving around,

there's players tweeting each other,

some words of encouragement encouragement and it all comes

down to a couple of things that really make the difference. Chris did a great review

on the salary cap yesterday's episode if you miss that. I'm going to talk with Matt Derek

coming up here very quickly about some of the defensive line positions. A lot of

the CBA how its ramifications are going to come down and affect Kansas City.

And obviously Chris Jones is the four are going to come down and affect Kansas City.

And obviously, Chris Jones is the forefront

of that particular position group.

And he is one of the players that is one of the linchpins

in the Chiefs' off-season. They have to decide how they're going to go about

either trying to resign him or trying to get maximum value in a tag and trade scenario.

They do have the ability and have announced that they're going to put

the franchise tag on him and that does open things up. It is one of those things that

gets the negotiations moving and either they can start to make some progress and possibly meet at a number that can work

for both sides or they're going to find out rather quickly that just how far apart expectations
