Well time really goes by fast, doesn't it. I mean you can remember when you brought

that little child home from the hospital and suddenly he's taller than you

he weighs more than you that's the case for me with our 16 year old. I'm looking at him thinking,

man, I remember when, you were just a little spud, man. Danny Werta is with me, I'm

John Fuller, and Danny, we, there's no cliche, don't blink, and really it's so true because our kids do grow fast

we're training we're molding we're investing all this time hoping that they're gonna make the

jump to be an adult and live life well on their own.

It goes fast. I don't know if I've ever heard someone call their kid little spuds.

But I love it, John. That's fantastic. The little spuds do grow up quickly and initially it feels

like it's forever.

And then after about 8, 9, 10, it really speeds up and it seems that days are shorter, the time is shrinking, and there is a

realization that you have a limited amount of time and influence, especially when

they start having more time with friends and going out, getting jobs,

the time begins to shrink and you have to become more intentional those quality moments together and having one-on-one times together. And then having resets every day there's a lot of repair that has to

happen and reconnection in the teen years and we miss out on those sometimes

because we get super busy and as parents we have to model pressing the breaks when it's needed to reset, reconnect to the family, refocus, because we can get distracted on priorities in the teen years.

And what a special time.

The teen years are amazing, tiring, difficult, challenging, but worthwhile and they're short.

They're quick.

And I would just hasten to add, every season has been great for us with our kids, every season.
