So Chelsea have parted with head coach Liam Racinium after a damaging run of form.

Rossini 45 took over in January on a deal until June 2032, but leaves fewer than four months later.

Liam Resignor has been relieved of his duties at Chelsea.

Just how quickly did this come in and were we expecting this?

Well, I think it was a matter of when, not if he was going to go after the Brighton defeat.

It felt inevitable like his position was perhaps untenable.

If you were to be harsh, a bit of a dead man walking.

And that does feel really unfair just by the fact

that he is a really good coach, Liam Rossignor, and he seems a thoroughly decent human being.

But you can't lose five matches in a row without scoring at any of the leading clubs, certainly

not at Chelsea, where we know over the years, even though there has been a change

of ownership, that expectations and demands are so high, inside the club, also among the

fan base throughout the playing personnel too. And that record stretches back to 1912 since

that last happened in the league. And so on a results basis, it was deemed by the hierarchy

that this couldn't go on. They also have the not insignificant matter on the horizon of an

FA Cup semi-final against Leeds at Wembley on Sunday. That's their chance of a piece of silverware
