Chat, the Six Wives with Elizabeth Norton.

I imagine you've all been waiting with bated breath to hear about my cycle ride.

Well, it went really well.

Being England, the weather forecast was super sketchy, expecting to have rain at any moment,

but in the end it all held off and it was a lovely sunny-ish day.

I set off along with about 35,000 other people, some doing the 100-mile challenge, others doing the 46-mile

with me. I was aiming to do it in around three and a half hours, but it is amazing to how much fast you

go when you don't have to stop for lights or traffic or anything like that.

Even going into enemy territory, i.e. Surrey, went well, and in the end I did the whole thing

in a shade under three hours. But, of course, the right aspect was only part of this whole project, because I was raising money, as you know, for the British Red Cross and their UK solidarity appeal.

Thanks in part to generous donations from a few listeners, I made my target of raising £500, that's just over $650 to my American fans. The Just Giving page
