So those of you listening in real time, you may have noticed that this episode is a week late.

I won't bore you with the details, but it mostly involved me sitting down to record,

finding that my script had disappeared, both off the file and the backup,

and then me spending a good long while having an old-fashioned rage.

If I've been Henry VIII, then I reckon a good few ministers would be facing the chop.

Anyway, I've had to pretty much rewrite this whole episode from scratch, so it had better be good.

This is the final instalment of the Catherine Power miniseries, and indeed of the whole

of the main part of Season 2 of the Queens of England podcast.

If you remember, season one was the medieval queens,

season 2, the wives of Henry the 8th, and then season 3 will take care of the Stuarts.

Now fear, though, you Tudor fans, because I have a whole series of supplementals coming up

that will bridge the gap between Catherine Parr, the Last Queen Consort of the Tudors,

and Anne of Denmark, the first of the

Stuart Queens. Not to mention the chat episode, coming next week. If you're sat there yelling about

why I'm not covering Jane Grey, Mary Tudor and Elizabeth Tudor in full, well, then you haven't

been paying much attention, then, have you? Now, I'm recording this episode a little in advance because possibly while you're listening
