The Apex and the Abyss presents the chasm, Episode 1, The Disappearance of Chip Michael Campbell. On March 8, 2016, somewhere between 2 and 4 p.m. in the afternoon,

Chip Campbell, a 36-year-old man of Milton, Florida, walked into a Circle K a few miles from his home.

He traveled on foot to the Circle K, and when he entered the store, he was holding two

backpacks. Thanks to video surveillance, we can see that Chip entered the bathroom within the

Circle K, and when he reappears, there are no signs of his bags. He exited the store, and he hasn't been seen or heard from

since. At the time of his disappearance, Chip was wearing a long-sleeved green camo shirt, blue jeans,

and white sneakers. He is six foot two inches tall, has brown hair that was slightly graying at the

time, and he weighed around 190 to 200 pounds.

What happened to Chip? Where did he go when he left the Circle K? Was he in trouble, and he just

didn't know what to do, or how to handle it? Those are just a few of the questions that those

who love Chip asked themselves every day. People disappear for a number of reasons. They are trying to escape.
