1:09.1 | Jonathan was his son and they were facing incredible odds. |
1:15.0 | They had an army of just a few hundred going to war against the Philistines with tens of thousands. |
1:21.0 | And they only had two swords and the Philistines had horses and chariots and warriors and weapons. |
1:28.0 | And in every practical, reasonable measure, Israel had no chance. So Saul was not in any way motivated to pick a fight. |
1:38.0 | So he just decided to pull back and avoid the future that was waiting for him. But Jonathan, his son, got up in the middle of the night and he decided to wake up the one person that was in a sense obligated |
