Summary
In 2020, the FBI had a shocking admission to make regarding the homicide clearance rates of police investigations across America. That year, they hit a record low, plummeting to under 50%, and it hasn’t bounced back since. This means that roughly half of all murders remain unsolved—an unsettling statistic, especially given the current surge in murders and violent crimes.
