... On Wednesday, September 10th, just as we were stepping out of the studio, after recording our

latest episode about Irina Zarutka, the young woman brutally murdered on the train, we saw the

shocking news. Charlie Kirk had been shot. And at Utah Valley

University, no less, and that campus is just over an hour away from the studio where we're sitting

right now. Along with many millions of Americans, we watched as the horrific, gory details of the

murder flashed across social media. Videos on repeat showed a bullet pierced Charlie's neck,

just as he was answering a question from the crowd about trans violence.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital,

but despite the medical team's best efforts,

he died shortly after the shooting from his gruesome injuries.

He was murdered for the whole world to see, right in front of his

young wife and children. His daughter even tried to run to her daddy as the chaos unfolded,

scared by the noise and tumult. The man who had built an iconic conservative media brand around

free speech and reasonable dialogue with the left on college campuses across the nation was shot in the throat.

A shocking reminder that the left cannot tolerate opposing viewpoints, so it will resort to violence to end the speech it doesn't like altogether.

It was a public spectacle that will likely shape an entire generation of young people in America for better or for

worse, just as did the slaying of MLK or JFK. Anthony Eslin captured the magnitude of Kirk's murder
