We begin with yesterday's memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, which brought

together tens of thousands of supporters to the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Perhaps the most poignant moment was this speech by Kirk's widow Erica, who is now the CEO

and chair of Turning Point USA,

saying she was ready to forgive the man who allegedly shot her husband.

Our Savior said, Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.

That man, that young man, I forgive him. This tone of conciliation was not shared by President Donald Trump, however, whose speech at times

was filled with divisive political rhetoric.

He did not hate his opponents.

He wanted the best for them.

That's where I disagreed with Charlie.

I hate my opponent.

And I don't want the best for them. Canada, the UK I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent.
