This is just a sad day.

A friend of mine who I've known for well over a decade was shot and killed,

assassinated at a college campus event in Utah.

Charlie Kirk was 31 years old. He is left behind two beautiful children and a wife,

all because he wanted to bring people together to have a grand debate about politics.

I want to be clear about this and say not only how sad I am because I know Charlie personally,

but how sad I am for his kids. I've got three kids. And this is a conversation that all of us that

do this have had a lot more recently, especially since the presidential assassination attempt when the president was shot in Butler.

And there is a real concern over safety.

There are a lot of people I know that are not doing public events right now for this reason.

Charlie Kirk lived by what his order was and his order was God,

family country. Charlie Kirk shot and killed by some deranged individual. And it's not lost on me

that even just hours ago on TV last night, Charlie Kirk was

being attacked by name as he talked about the killing of that young, innocent girl from Ukraine,

talking about it being a racial issue because the man said, I killed, I got that white girl. And what did the media do?

They went after Charlie Cook saying that was race baiting, race baiting. How dare you say that it's not

true. They said what Charlie said was a lie, even though we have the audio of the man walking after

he killed that young girl saying, I got that

white girl. And if you want to know what makes psychotic people do psychotic things, you tell them

that what they're seeing is a liar, you tell them that people like Charlie Kirk and others are

evil. You tell them that Donald Trump is the second coming of Adolf Hitler.
