I think that intimacy is impossible without boundaries because if I don't tell you what's not okay for me,

if I am afraid to say no, then I can't actually be fully present or I can't actually even receive what you want to give me because I'm being, I feel like I need to be dishonest or I have to betray myself in some way.

with writer and astrologist Channy Nicholas, who is a new book out called You Were Born for

this, astrology for radical Self-acceptance.

Channy has been a powerful guide for me over the past few years.

She offers a fairly regular stream of online courses related to different astrological happenings,

and I am an avid student.

More than once, I have taken her course on the year ahead, which she offers every January,

and I can honestly say it has been wildly accurate for at least two years running now.

At the beginning of last year, in fact, one of her predictions for people of my ilk, Capricorn Rising, that is, was that there

would be magic in the cave in 2019, which meant a lot of behind-the-scenes work on creative

projects, as she described it. Having loads of creative projects to incubate, I got extremely

excited. Like, yes, my time has come. Only to later learn as I moved through the year

that the creative project I was incubating was actually myself. And that that particular incubation

project actually felt a little bit too much like being inside a cave, a dark cave of self-reflection.

A journey I actually talked about in some detail in the first episode of this season. Letting go isn't easy.

That said, the end result certainly was magic.

It all just played out a little differently than I expected.
