My name is Andy from global e-commerce experts and we're here to successfully expand e-commerce sellers into the EU and soon to be UK. And what we're going to talk about on this compliance corner is labelling requirements and some of the compliance things that are going to be changing come the 1st of January. |
0:22.6 | Obviously, Brexit is happening. |
0:24.1 | We've talked about that for weeks, months, if not years, we have been talking about that. |
0:29.1 | And I think now is the time to start thinking about the compliance of your product. |
0:33.2 | Yeah, we do a huge amount of label compliance and product compliance here at globally commerce experts. |
0:38.2 | And I just wanted to take touch on seven new changes that are going to be coming in come the 1st of January. |
0:45.3 | And the key thing to say is that for most of these, there's not going to be a southern shut off on the 1st of January. |
0:52.8 | For most, that's going to go through to July |
0:55.6 | 2023 when you've got a period of grace where you're going to be fine to be able to do that. |
1:01.8 | So, you know, I'm going to go through the seven because there are seven key areas. Most of these |
1:07.4 | or some of these won't be relevant to most e-commerce sellers. |
1:11.6 | But I'm going to mention them just in case. |
1:13.8 | New energy labelling requirements. |
1:16.2 | So that's more energy products. |
1:17.7 | That's things that are to do with planes. |
1:20.1 | There's a whole load of different things that that comes under. |
1:22.9 | The second one is the UKCA mark of conformity, |
1:26.3 | which is basically going to replace the CE mark. |
1:29.9 | Virtually all of you will understand what a CE mark is. That's basically a mark of approval |
1:34.8 | that goes onto your product to say that it conforms with the regulations. Now that CE mark |
1:41.6 | is going to become a UKCA mark. And again, there's going to become a UK C-A mark. |
1:46.0 | And again, there's going to be a transition period for that through to 2023. |
