Summary
As Championship Week gets underway and LSU enters the final stages of preparation for Clemson, I wanted to go back and rewatch both semifinal games to see what I could learn.
I learned a lot.
Starting with LSU-Oklahoma and wrapping up with Clemson-Ohio State, here's a recap of my rewatch and some of the notes I took while watching both games. This one is light on guests (as in none) but heavy on numbers, and it's a statistically-loaded appetizer for the week to come.
Topics covered:
- Why LSU's defense is playing like the best unit in the country
- Freshmen finding niches
- Juniors coming into their own
- What LSU's offense did differently against Oklahoma
- Keys to attacking Clemson's defense
- Where Clemson's offense can be slowed down
Hope to be back with more episodes this week, so stay tuned.
