Looking back at Wednesday's action in the second leg of the quarterfinals.

We have now all four of our semi-finalists. Two games today, an absolute barnstormer between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, and a less barnstormer, shall we say,

between Arsenal and sporting. In many ways, it was a tale of two football matches. It was

interests always do lie. But yeah, I was I was regretting this halfway through the first half

Yeah, I mean, let's start here in Munich. Let's start with this absolute crackerjack.

It ended four, three, to Bayern.

But Real Madrid took the lead after just 35 seconds.

Comical sort of error from Manuel Noir handing the equalizing goal in the tie to Arda Galear after just half a minute.

The quickest goal in the Champions League this season.

It then swung in from pillar to post back and forth.

Pavlovich took advantage of an error at the other end from Andre Loonin to head home the equalizer.

Then about half an hour mark, there was a free kick awarded to

Real Madrid, a very, very soft free kick, we should probably say. But there was nothing soft

about the goal that followed. Arda Galear curling one in from all of about 25 yards, absolutely

beauty, postage stamp. Although again, questions on what on earth Manuel Noil was doing by diving behind the line

as opposed to two on it.

But take nothing away from the Goulet, free kick.

It was back down the other end.
