Today I was joined by Alex Stewart to talk about the quarterfinal fixtures in the Champions League,

ahead of them being played.

We go through them game by game and we talk individually about the tactics and some slightly broader topics for each of them.

And we were also joined by Simon Harrison

for the three games that involve La Liga teams

so that was exciting for us

Anyway without further ado

here's the jazz flute enjoy Okay, we're going to kick this off with the Liverpool-Manchester City tie.

There are three other games in the quarter-finals, of course, but they all involve

Spanish teams, and we've been promised the attendance of our friend and La Liga expert, Simon

Harrison, shortly, so we thought we'd wait for him to talk about the Spanish team.

So let's get going with the All-England affair, the sort of the Brexit dream, yeah?

Not really, but it's the All-England Affair.

It's Liverpool, Manchester City.

And I think this is actually a particularly, not from an Anglo-centric point of view,

but this is a particularly interesting game tactically, isn't it, Alex?

Because, of course, we've already seen match-ups between Liverpool and Manchester City this season,

most notably the

January fixture in which Liverpool beat City 4-3 at a point where no one was beating City.

No one even looked like beating City.
