joined by Jessica Culpepper, who is the executive director of Farm Stand, which is an organization

that, I guess it's not a brand new organization because it has broken

off from a much bigger and larger organization, but I'm so excited it has because it really

does need to stand on its own, so to speak. And it fights for a fair food system in courtrooms

and communities and miraculously, that includes animals. And just, but not, certainly not just animals, but it includes animals, which is just something

you see very often.

And Jessica has been in the business for 16 years, and she has always been focused on legal advocacy

on behalf of farmed animals and communities armed by industrial animal agribusiness.

And they are doing some outstanding work.

I'm so excited to be here.

I'm really excited to talk to you. I was just saying before we started recording that I saw you at a meeting we were both at years ago. I remember you very clearly because you spoke so strongly about a number of issues. And we're going to get into some of those issues. But let's just start out for people who aren't familiar with your work.

Just give us an overview of farm stand and kind of the theory of change there.

And then we'll get into detail.

And, you know, particularly emphasizing that point that I just made, which I find it very

unusual for an organization dealing with farming to be worried both about the animals
