Happy New Year to Sarah, our producer. It is, um, it's always interesting around the, around the bowl games, how it feels

like this week is and where you have no idea what day of the week it is. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.

It's Thursday. And this one, you know, threw us for an extra loop with this rescheduled sugar bowl taking place in the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday.

Obviously, when the game was played was, you know, secondary to what happened in New Orleans on New Year's Eve.

And I just want to bring it up real quick because you and I have both covered sugar bowls.

And in particular, you know, I think the last time I was there for a game was the Joe Burrow

National Championship game and the media hotel was right there on Canal Street, like not far from

Bourbon Street.

So when I saw the, you know, the images of this crash that happened, this awful tragedy,

I mean, it was a little bit chilling because like, oh, I've been on there.

I'm sure I've been there on New Year's Eve before.

Yeah, as you were saying that, too, I was trying to think when was the last time I was at a sugar bowl?

Because I'm almost always out here covering the Rose Bowl.

But you're right.

It probably was that game, the LSU-Clemson game.

Yeah, I hate to say this, but it's like you, I was talking to a friend of mine.

It was like, man, it's eerie because

you're, you know, always think about you're in crowds and you take for granted that something
