Welcome back to the latest edition of the Ottawa presented by Trader Joe's.

I'm Bruce Feldman, joined as always by my colleague from the Athletic Stuart Mandel.

We are going to get into, we have the final four, and it's right here. Some of you may be

listening to this after the first game has actually been done, but hopefully you'll be listening

to it before that. And we have a great guest to kick off that for the big Notre Dame Penn State game.

He knows more about Notre Dame than anybody on the beat.

He is Pete Samson, who does a great job covering the Irish for the athletic.

Yeah, Bruce, we're going to talk to Pete here in a minute.

But first, we just want to acknowledge the breaking story right in your backyard.

The awful fires that have hit the L.A. area, Pacific Palisades, and also Pasadena, as of this recording.

First of all, tell us your situation and just what is what it's like there right now.

Fortunately, I think where we live we're okay i mean the air quality here is really bad um it's like the kind of thing you can smell

inside the house not even outside uh have a lot of friends who have had to evacuate and you know

your heart breaks for them you just they don't know if they're going to go

back and still have a home for them and um you know the on tuesday morning when uh you started seeing

videos on the news channels of some horrific scenes and you know have some friends who are sending

up photos not far from their homes with it.

And so, you know, you're, like I said, your heartbreaks for people who are, who are being

devastated by this and hopefully things ease up really soon.

I know there's, it feels like there's different catastrophes that are, you know, of nature that that end up happening

in different parts of our country. And, and this week, it's here. And it's, you know, it's,

it's very sobering. But, you know, so I appreciate the thoughts on that. Of course. And our
