On today's part of my take presented by Draft Kings. We're back in studio. The whole cruise here. We got college football, quarter finals, recap, incredible last game that we just watched. Ole Miss for Georgia. |
| 0:27.0 | Couple other games weren't as exciting, |
| 0:29.2 | but we're going to talk about all of them. With the semi-finals set, we're going to do our week 18 picks and preview. We have Hank and Zach back. We are also going to do our Exeter interview with Gerry O'Connell on our fantasy season. Maybe a little contentious. Runners up. Runners up. So we finished second. We want to just talk it out with Jerry, see what we can do better, what we can maybe give him to make it a better experience next year. And then we're going to finish with Fire Fest. And that's it. It's going to be a great Friday show and then we'll be back to three times a week next week. Okay, let's go. Yeah, yeah, part of my take. |
| 1:25.0 | Yeah, part of my take. |
| 1:28.0 | Yeah, part of my take. |
| 1:32.5 | Welcome to part of my take presented by draft Kings. |
| 1:35.7 | The crown is yours today is Friday, January, second. |
| 1:39.4 | Happy New Year, guys. |
| 1:40.6 | Happy New Year. |
| 1:41.4 | Happy New Year. |
| 1:42.2 | Happy New Year, at the 2026. |
| 1:43.5 | And let me just say, to start 2026 if you are a regular fan of college football let's say 95% of us out there that don't root for the blue bloods let's call us haters what a start to the new year because we watched in 24 hours Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia all |
| 2:07.1 | Loose the red bloods. Yeah, and I think if memory serves as we've gone to the 14 playoff and now to the 12 team playoff |
| 2:14.7 | I think this might be the first year where |
| 2:18.9 | None of those teams are in the final four |
| 2:22.3 | So yeah, we got all new colors. Yeah, we got Oregon versus Indiana and one side of the bracket, Ole Miss versus Miami and the other side. Joe Class probably got to feel a little stupid right now because Miami, incredible. Let's start with that one. Miami just absolutely manned up Ohio State on New Year's Eve. It was shocking, but also not shocking because Miami had this in them, but in the fact that Ohio State just looked like they got bullied the entire time. The Julian saying pick six obviously tilted the game, but my big takeaway from this game was not only obviously Miami can win the national title, but this was felt like Mario Christobal, like he coached a perfect game. And even in that last drive that Miami had where you like, are they going to get too conservative when they're up three? Are they get, you know, six minutes left? No, no, they, there was a perfect drive, perfect use of the clock, absolutely big boydom and Ohio State. Listen, hand up. Sometimes you get it wrong. This Ohio State not better than last year's Ohio State. Officially, yeah. Well, they did beat Michigan. |
| 3:27.1 | They did. Which last year's Ohio State team did not. But this year is 2026. Yes. So this team in 2026, well, no, they lost in 2025. On which time zones? That's true. Not every time zone. We can't get into time zones. We can't do that. That was the Ohio State lost their last two games the year. |
| 3:44.3 | They lost Indiana. |
| 3:45.2 | They lost it. |
| 3:46.6 | It actually is my weird take here is that Michigan did it again. They broke them. They Ryan Day had spent so much energy to beat Michigan this year after they beat Michigan. It was over. The whole season was building up to that. Yeah, I do think that if you were to just say like the last two weeks of each program, Michigan had a better, a better last two weeks. And I hate that I hate that my head went there, but it did feel like Ryan Day, obviously getting the monkey office back beating Michigan. The Indiana game in the Big Ten Championship game was very close to the hit of field goal. different this game though This game though, Miami, they like watching this game, you're like, Miami's the better team. From the opening drive, it felt like Miami was violent. Yeah. They brought, they brought some bad intentions to the field and yeah, Mario, Crystal ball, that defense, the defense of line and the linebackers for Miami were just beating the shit out of Ohio State. Rubin Bane. In a way, Rubin Bain is a monster. Yep. And I think we had the two best defensive players in college football on the field with Bain and Caleb Downs for Ohio State. Both guys played great. It was just the big boys for Miami were, they were more violent. Sometimes the game of football just comes down to who has the capability and the will to inflict physical pain on your opponent. And yeah, Miami was fun to watch. Also, Michael Irvin Ray Lewis, what did a dynamic do on the sidelines, just like screaming at each other in a language that twins teach each other. It was just it was it was built to ask it was the perfect. They're perfect for Miami. Yeah you know when you watch texas game you see bevo when you see georgia you have uh... go you have all these traditions and then my any tradition is michael urwin losing his mind taking off his belt and whipping a gatorade bottle to the point we're like please stop hurting stop hurting that Gatorade bottle. And it's so Miami. |
| 5:46.0 | I think he also assaulted a trashcan at some point. |
| 5:49.0 | He put it on Ohio State Jersey on a Gatorade bottle. Yeah. And whipped the fuck out of it. And Ray Lewis just screaming at him. They were just saying they were yelling at each other, but that's brotherhood, man. The US back. The US back. Absolutely. title so yeah that was that was New Year's Eve which it wasn't like the most |
