| 0:55.4 | So we're going to discuss these issues in this podcast, and as we are recording this conversation |
| 1:00.4 | shortly before the US presidential elections, we will also talk a little bit about what |
| 1:05.4 | a President Trump or a President Clinton would mean for the EU. |

| 1:13.6 | and spent some time in Washington, D.C., speaking to policymakers and experts |
| 1:17.6 | and talking to them about Brexit and what the British decision to leave the EU means for the US relationship with the UK. |

| 1:28.3 | My impression is that the Americans that I talk to are deeply worried about implications of Brexit for the EU, |
| 1:37.3 | but also for the US-EU relationship. |
| 1:42.3 | The people I talked to underlined that they fear that Brexit negotiations, |
| 1:49.7 | which are going to be unprecedented negotiations in EU's history, will be a severe destruction |
| 1:57.0 | for both Britain and the European Union from other serious crises. |
