It's been observed that the first few minutes of your day are some of the most

important moments of your day and personally I have found that just carving out some

time even if it means getting up 15 minutes or 30 minutes

earlier, to work out and then to spend some time reading and just kind of being calm, that

helps me be ready for whatever the day has.

And it may be that you've got a routine that you're doing or you'd like to do in the morning.

I'm John Fuller, along with our Vice President of Parent parenting, Dr. Danny, I don't know what it is,

but those first few minutes really kind of

set the tone for the rest of my day.

They do, and at different ages and stages

of our kids' lives lives we had different margins at that

beginning part of the day I remember feeling very tired with young kids and and

my daughter would wake up very early and she still does.

And so to have any alone time or margin time

at the beginning of the day was not really that realistic. But I remember stopping and looking out the

window or just stopping and breathing, sometimes walking by my kids room and just pausing for a moment and just praying for them.

It was a good way to reset my mind to just wish them well and I would say, hey, Lord, be with them today, help them be able to see you.

In the summertime, I love the moments of going out in the garden when the sun was rising

and just being able to talk to God, to have a conversation with him in the garden.

I picture the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve had that moments of conversation.

Yeah, they had the freedom to walk with God.

And just walking there.
