The Senate for Sustainable Energy recently participated in one of the largest

charger installation projects with the state of California. John Gartner, Senior Director of Transparency

and Insights for the Center of Sustainable Energy will tell us about lessons learned from the program.

John works out of Suburban Denver. He oversees the research arm of the Center for Sustainable Energy

where he focuses on energy and Electric Vehicle Insights.

Can you tell me about CSE's mission and your work there?

Yeah.

So, Center for Stimble Energy is a nonprofit based in San Diego, California and our

mission is very simple, it's one word, it's decarbonize.

So we work with both the public and the private sector

in advancing programs that decarbonize the energy system

with an emphasis on transportation,

but we also look at other

stationary energy sources as well.

So I know you follow the EV industry very closely and it's transforming so quickly

government and industry players are pouring billions into charging infrastructure. What are you forecasting for

E. V. sales growth and charging demand in California where much of your focus is and nationally?
