However, I love holding him, I love holding him, and I genuinely feel like feminism exists

for a number of reasons.

But most of all, in my view, it's for our own safety and security and autonomy, because

let's say there's no feminism, you don't have a hope of freedom or voting rights or getting

a job, or if you do have a job, you have no hope of anything close to equal pay, maternity

rights, blah blah blah.

Then you have a partner who, for whatever reason, is incapacitated or dead or beats you or

is a venomous alcoholic, you've got no way out, right?

So feminism offers us options.

But here I am now with this lovely husband who's got like 101 skills and is so kind and

generous and the love of my life.

I kind of feel like feminism has backfired for me.
