I'm Mama Jules, and we have a school-themed episode this Thursday. Schools that were

meant to be safe places, but they weren't. Schools that were negligent. Schools that employed

predators. And schools that didn't recognize isolation before it was too late. Let's get into it.

To our first school crime story, taking

place in the heart of Salina, Texas. That's a booming suburb north of Dallas where everything's

bigger because it's Texas and they do it big there. And Selena Independent School District this fall

said, hey, let's do this big and have scandal after

scandal with our staff members. At Selena ISD, football is life, and for the over 10,000 students,

the main topic of conversation is the potential for the state title. But any potential, any wins for the boys on the gridiron have been dimmed by the

cascade of charges that have been leveled against multiple staff members. The allegations of

misconduct have some of the parents proclaiming that the district has a quote, culture of negligence

stemming from the ISD growing too fast
