I have a copy of the autopsy report for Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and we're going to go through that.

So a trigger warning, not pleasant stuff by no means.

Before we get into that, David's preliminary hearing is set for tomorrow at 8.30 Pacific time.

That was quick.

And unfortunately, there are no cameras, but I will try to do a recap with what comes out from verified sources.

Her cause of death was multiple penetrating injuries, which are stab wounds.

The summary is there are severe post-mortem changes, two penetrating wounds of the torso.

The first is the right abdomen with injury to the liver, and the other is

in the left chest with penetration of underlying intercostal space and a fancy word for what

looks to be rib fractures. Other findings, bilateral dismemberment of upper and lower extremities

and multiple additional skin defects.

They'll probably never know an exact number of stab wounds she suffered, just due to how

decomposed she was when she was found. The autopsy exam was limited by extensive post-mortem

changes. Her left eye was missing and part of the head was

skeletonized. The scalp was predominantly skeletonized. For the abdominal wound, it was three quarters of an

inch that was about an inch to an inch and a half deep. It was one inch to the right of the midline and

that wound damaged her liver.

The chest wound was six inches left of the midline. That wound was 9.16th of an inch and at least

two inches deep. She had many skin defects over the torso ranging from 5.16th of an inch to

one in three quarters. Her upper and lower extremities
