Summary

My guest today has been an integral part of my feminist awakening. Celeste Barber’s instagram posts - which parody the unattainable standards of the fashion and beauty industry - are both hilarious and revolutionary. Her work has helped a generation of women to feel better about their bodies - and made her a star in the process. (Plus she’s been blocked by a few celebrities. Lol.) Barber began her account in 2015 as a jobbing actor. She now has almost 10 million followers, including Reese Witherspoon, Chelsea Handler and designer Tom Ford who ended up hiring her for a fashion campaign. We talk about imposter syndrome, ADHD, standing up to bullies and her Janet Jackson obsession. Toxic relationships, dealing with a narcissist and how to come back from ‘rock bottom’ - Elizabeth and Celeste answer YOUR questions in our subscriber series, Failing with Friends. 0:42.8

if anything, they've learned along the way.

0:44.7

I'm not someone who's like, oh God, I shouldn't be here.

0:46.9

I'm like, why hasn't this happened quicker?

0:48.5

Why didn't, why not me?

0:50.6

And now we're going to move on because I'll cry.

Do you know what I feel like next Super Bowl should be Janet Jackson with you as her backup box? Stop! Let's manifest it. Hello, it's Elizabeth

This is an exploration of the attempted theft of the 350 million pound Millennium Star Diamond

from the Millennium Dome in 2000, executive produced by Guy Ritchie.

1:25.9

It's told from the point of view of the criminals who attempted

1:28.5

the raid and the flying squad who checkmated them. What I loved about this documentary was the

1:34.8

gall of the heist crew who said that if they pulled it off, it would have been the biggest

1:38.5

heist of all time. Well, all I can say is that they certainly didn't let the prospect of failing deter them.

1:45.6

Also, at one point, someone commented that it was just like a Guy Ritchie film, which cracked

1:49.7

me up, given that he exec produced the documentary.

1:52.7

Anyway, the Diamond Heist is an absolute cracker in three parts.
