Ashley just returned from a two-night preview cruise on Celebrity Cruises, brand new Edge Class ship, Celebrity Excel.

It was at a Port Everglades, and she joins us on the line.

Hey, Doug, how are you?

Now, this was your fourth Edge Class ship that you've sailed on, so you've done edge, Apex, Ascent, and Excel now. So

what were your thoughts going into this one? Like, did you do some research and be like,

oh, I want to see what's actually different? Because these five ships are, you know, there's five

ships in the class, tend to be kind of cookie cutter. I did do some research ahead of time because

it was curious

what was going to set this one apart. I think it's sometimes hard for cruise lines to differentiate

when they have found a good thing and they keep rolling out similar iterations. But I was pleasantly

surprised. There's quite a bit of new stuff going on. All right, let's talk about embarkation. So you're going to board the ship. Now, Port Everglades has this fairly new cruise terminal for celebrity cruises down there. How long did it take you from the curb to the ship? But also, is it these days? Are you still showing your passport and going to guest services, or is it just boom, boom, scan, you're on the ship?

It was a really seamless quick experience if you use the app, which they really strongly encourage.

So I had checked in ahead of time and had my boarding pass and everything I needed pulled right up on my
