Cruise Radio, a review of Celebrity Apex today from, well, staff writer Richard Sims, who's also on

deck with Cruise News this week. Hey, Richard. Hey, Doug. We start this week with some tragic news out

of Australia. Yeah, this is, you know, sort of what you might call a double dose of tragedy,

all of which unfolded during a four-day sailing of the Carnival Splendor. First came word that a 67-year-old

woman had died while snorkeling off the coast of Queensland, Australia. She was found unresponsive

in the waters near the Tangaluma wrecks, which are sort of a collection of

sunken ships that are a popular spot for people to go snorkeling and scuba diving.

Not long after that, I think it was just a few hours, actually. It was reported that a man in

his 70s climbed over the railing of the same ship, the Carnival Splendor again, and jumped overboard.

A massive search was undertaken, reportedly involving five helicopters and six vessels on the

surface, but it was eventually called off with the man still missing and presumed dead.
