Summary

Many years ago, an article written by the American Council of Exercise called Dr. Michael Mantell's attention. The report was a plan to eradicate obesity in America by 2030 through diet and exercise. Dr. Mantell decided to call the Council and ask them about the third leg of the tripod they left aside: thinking. After a long silence on the other end of the line, a woman told him they'd like to talk to him. Two weeks later, Michael became the Chief Behavioral Consultant for the American Council of Exercise.

Today, I'm honored to welcome to the 100th edition of the show an outstanding professional, colleague, and friend, Dr. Michael Mantell. He is a Global Behavioral Science Authority, Cut to It Coach, Speaker, Author, Advisor, and member of SAG/AFTRA since 1981. His latest book, The Link Is What You Think, helps people overcome their self-imposed obstacles. Michael also authored Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, which is on its 25th edition.

Dr. Mantell has been a guest on countless television and radio talk shows, including "Oprah," "Nightline," "Larry King," and "Good Morning America" where he appeared for more than a decade as a regular contributor.

In this episode, we talk about overall wellness, longevity, and treating decrepitude as a choice. Dr. Mantell shared how he got interested in general health and the benefits of physical exercises. We also discuss the relevance of our thoughts in our mental and overall health, and people's demanding approach to things, believing everyone needs a unique, custom treatment.

Tune in to Episode 100 of Rejuvenaging, and learn the secrets of a healthier, purposeful, and active longevity.
