I'm your host Jennifer Briny.

Now this week we are going to be covering the House's version of the NDAA,

which stands for the National Defense Authorization Act for 2014.

Now it's important to know that the NDA is a funding bill and this bill will eventually

become law.

The thing is though that this is just the first version, the

one that passes the House. The House passes a bill and then the Senate needs to

pass a bill and then they're gonna mix it all up and then the mixed up bill a few months from now is the one

that will end up on President Obama's desk. So when I get into this bill

today what I did is I read something that comes with the bill.

Now you should know, this bill was like 700 pages.

And then there's a report that comes with it out of the committee.

And the report is where they tell you the reasoning behind why they funded things the way they did.

Now that report was 500 pages and I read that one.

And so I found out a lot of things about what our military is planning to do.

So this is going to be a really good episode, but it's also going to be a packed episode.

I'm going to see if I can fit this in a half an hour. We might go over. There's just a lot of stuff in here.

And then at the end of the episode there were three bills that passed the house this week,

which were essentially favors to Wall Street. More Wall Street deregulation chipping away bit by bit at that Dodd-Frank Wall Street
