0:14.8	2017 was a doozy for a lot of people including me and it was definitely a year of surrender. I really learned how to shift more and more from
0:29.8	gripping the wheel of my life, you know, kind of white knuckling life and trying to control everything to sitting with palms open or palms in prayer saying either help or show me the way. And oftentimes it takes going through challenges, going
0:45.9	through a lot of uncertainty going through just a lot of expectation
0:50.6	hangovers and stuff coming up and often some suffering to learn surrender.
0:57.3	A lot of us, especially as high achievers, sometimes have to be brought to our knees to actually experience and embody surrender.
1:05.5	I always say surrender is one of those spiritually sexy words that's so not sexy.
1:11.3	It is intense and it is hard and 2017 also if you add up to
1:16.6	plus one plus seven it's a ten year and that has to do with completion
1:21.4	tens represent full cycles, things coming to
1:24.4	completion. So another theme that happened is a lot of things that a lot of
1:29.3	us experience, hopefully we'll have to experience for the last time. A lot of us completed a lot of
1:34.1	generational patterns, relationships that weren't serving us, careers that weren't serving us,
1:39.5	even health things that weren't serving us, it seems like so much had to be brought to the surface so we could let it go.
1:46.7	And I think that I say I'm excited about the new year every year, but I'm really excited about it this coming year because it's an 11 year 2 plus 1 plus 8 and I love 11s and it's also I think there's been so much momentum from 2017. There's so much that has kind of come up and out.
2:05.4	There's been a lot of chaos in 2017 a lot of upheaval and as hard as that is to go
2:10.6	through or witness it does create new. So out of any kind of
2:16.4	chaos something new is born. So I am approaching 2018 with high involvement and intention but low attachment.
