Summary
We're moving from the introspective Year of the Snake into the bold, forward-moving Year of the Horse.
Snake energy has been about shedding ā old roles, patterns, identities that no longer fit. The Horse brings movement, courage, and momentum.
But if you haven't fully released what surfaced this year, you may feel pushed instead of propelled.
In this episode, I share what this energetic shift symbolizes and how to consciously move from reflection into aligned action ā without burnout, without rushing, and without dragging the past forward.
Ā
And if you're ready to go deeper into untangling the patterns that keep repeating in your life, I'm teaching a free masterclass at christinehassler.com/untangled.

| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody and welcome back to the show. |
| 0:06.0 | If you're listening around when this show is releasing mid-February, we are about to transition |
| 0:12.7 | into the year of the horse. It's the official new year according to the Chinese calendar, |
| 0:17.5 | which I relate to and resonate with a little bit more. And if you're anything like me, |
| 0:24.4 | you are feeling a lot probably right now. There has been so much going on in the world. |
| 0:31.5 | Well, there's been so much going on in the world for thousands and thousands and thousands of |
| 0:35.5 | years. Now we have even more access to it. But if we, |
| 0:39.8 | you know, really allow ourselves to feel into the amount of violence and horror and war and |
| 0:50.6 | unjustness and all the isms and just the shadow side of human behavior. |
| 0:58.2 | It feels shocking. It feels overwhelming. It feels triggering. It is, it feels so heavy. And it can be a time |
| 1:08.2 | where self-care feels selfish in the sense of, gosh, caring for myself, managing my own nervous system, maybe stepping away from consuming so much information, makes me feel empathetic or makes me feel self-centered or makes me feel selfish. |
| 1:25.1 | And like I'm not doing enough. |
| 1:26.7 | That can be something very common, especially for empaths. |
| 1:31.9 | And what I want to offer you is this. |
| 1:38.0 | Our nervous system correlates directly to our level of consciousness and the vibration, the energy that we live at, |
| 1:46.0 | and then we put out in the world. And if we are going to change things, it can't be done at lower |
| 1:55.4 | levels of consciousness. We have to move back to love. That doesn't mean we don't do anything. But I'd prefer that before you take |
| 2:05.9 | any action in any area of your life, whether you're responding to something in your own life or |
| 2:11.3 | whether you're responding to something globally in whatever way you feel called to respond, |
| 2:15.6 | that you resource yourself first, that you move through |
| 2:19.1 | any big feelings, because part of calming a nervous system is not repressing emotions. |
| 2:23.8 | Part of calming our nervous system and shifting our consciousness is allowing those big feelings |
