Exodus chapter 14 verse 11, a little backdrop of what we are about to read.

The children of Israel are transitioning out of Egypt and are heading towards their future.

They're heading towards their promise. But in a moment of

panic, in a moment of pressure, in a moment of uncertainty, because transitions come with uncertainties.

And we've learned that transitions also come with tombstones. If you look back on your life, anybody who

has surrendered to Christ, you should see tombstones of yourself, aversions of you that had to

die for you to get here. Transitions come with uncertainties because uncertainty is the gym membership for your faith.

Certainty has never made anybody trust God deeper.

It's those uncertain places.

And in this uncertain moment, they cry out to Moses out of fear.

Verse 11, Exodus 14.

They said, was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert

to die?

What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?

Didn't we say to you in Egypt, leave us alone?

Let us serve the Egyptians.

It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert.

Here's the problem with that church family.

They never said that.
