I just wanted to share with you that I was playing my ukulele yesterday.

I told you I've been taking lessons and I played a song that I wrote.

And I'll actually put it at the end of this episode.

It's called Count On Me.

And it was the first time that I played that song on a ukulele.

And I just felt so good playing it.

And it just dawned on me how much self-doubt I have.

And it became clear is because I'm always like putting off sitting down and playing my music.

I think I have this belief that feels very true a lot of the time, which is,

oh, I'm not really that good at that.

Or I'm going to sit down and play and, you know, I'm going to be frustrated with myself.

And I sat down with the ukulele teacher and in three lessons, like I learned how to play these chords.

And now I'm playing the song.

It just reminds me how so much of the time, like we are the gatekeeper.

We are the one limiting ourselves, holding ourselves back because of our own self-doubt.

And there's that awesome quote by Susie Cassam, which is self-doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.
