Hello and welcome to Prism of the Past, a semi-weekly series about historical events, people, and situations, from the fascinating to the forgotten.

I'm the Illuminati, and today we're going to be talking about the Cathars a religious

sect that was actually entirely wiped out by the Catholic Church. Now as always

with incredibly religious topics I'm going to put a disclaimer right here that you can feel free to

believe what you want or whatever you don't want to believe that's cool too.

I'm not here to attack your religious beliefs and quite frankly I don't really

care what you do or don't believe in. What I do like to look into is interesting historical facts.

So do what you want.

If you cannot separate history from religion,

So I'm just gonna be real frank with that.
