Hello, welcome to another episode of Pop Bear Hikes.

Okay, we're going to talk about trails again. This time, a rail trail.

Now this could be hiked. There's a number of activities that people engage in on

this trail from biking, hiking, and it's no showing cross-country skiing.

But it's a nice rail trail and it gives you the opportunity to have a not overly

challenged day on the trail. It's 13 miles one way, 26 round trip.

It starts in Watkins, land and goes to Pine Valley.

They are in the process of finishing this trail. We'll go down to the town of

horse heads, but from what I see, what I've been researching, that part of the trail has

not been completed yet. We only went to Pine Valley and went back.

The trail is, as I said, it's a rail trail, so it's nice and wide and it's

crushed stone, nice riding surface. I did it with road tires. That's how easy it is.

And it's railroad grade, so even the up hills are not overly challenging.

But it takes you through a nice area. For the most part, you're off the road.

There is a small area going through Montour Falls, where you're on the road, but not

like highway traffic, just like local, slow moving traffic, so it's not dangerous.
