All right, let's just jump right in here.

What are these names have in common?

Harvey, Irma, Jose, Katie, Lee, and Maria.

That's right, they are the last group of hurricanes to form in the Atlantic, most of

which it caused billions of dollars in mass devastation in America and the Caribbean and killed

dozens of people in the process.

Now if you look back over the past few weeks weeks it might seem that we're living in a mild

version of the movie a day after tomorrow and it's pretty scary stuff.

So I decided to talk to one of the leading experts on hurricanes in the Atlantic, Phil Clotsbach, who is a research scientist

at the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University.

Phil is going to explain what's actually going on with all these deadly hurricanes, what to expect

for the rest of the hurricane season, how to read what is a big hurricane and what isn't,

and if these storms are getting worse because of global warming and climate change.

But before I jump into my

fascinating discussion with Phil, I'm going to sit down with my editor John Kelly

from Vanity Fair to discuss some of the news that took place this week. So
