What's going on everyone? This is Kevin from Epic Gardening and today is an episode for any of you pet lovers and pet owners.

This question comes from Holly Martin and she said,

What house plants are truly safe for pets including

food plants grown indoors such as lettuce herbs etc now this is a great question

causes a lot of stress amongst pet owners because if you're a pet owner and a plant lover

Sometimes those worlds don't mesh very well and a pet can eat a plant and not have the best time as a result.

So I'm going to go through, I'm just going to run through really quickly 15 plants that you can safely have in your home and not worry if a pet wants to give it a little

munch. Okay? Now a lot of these plants are going to be on my website at epic gardening.com in the houseplants

section so you can just kind of search for them if you want a full guide. Not all

of them will be on there but you know over the next couple of months I'm

adding houseplant stuff I'm adding indoor gardening guides pretty much every day at this point or at least three times a week.

So go ahead and check that out at epic gardening.com, but let's go ahead and get into this list. All right? First one, Classic, the spider plant. It is one of the easiest plants

you can care for, grows well in low light, and cats kind of like them, but they're non-toxic. So your

cat might mess with them a bit, and if you care about

that, then definitely you can put them in the hanging basket indoors, kind of in the corner of

your room. That's a nice spot to do it because they will hang down and look very beautiful and then your cat won't be able to reach it.

But if your cat does get a hold of a spider plant, rest assured it will be safe.

Next, almost any type of indoor palm, so a bamboo palm, parlor

palm, ponytail palm, a wreck a palm, all of these are very easy to grow, don't

need a whole lot of light, and your cats are going to be completely

fine and dogs as well.
