with Colorado Ultra Runner, the one and only Kat Bradley. Cat has long been on my enormous

and growing master list of desired podcast guests. And I am thrilled that we finally made

it happen. Of course, Kat recently made big news by announcing a new sponsor, signing a multi-year

partnership with Brooks Running just this past week, which gave us a great reason, a great excuse,

a great opportunity to sit down for this very real conversation. And for those who listen

often, you know that I like to explore the industry side of the sport. So we of course talk at length

the human side of the pros in our sport, what they go through, how they approach their careers,

and how they navigate the highs and lows.

And I got to say that Kat was just awesome and candid in sharing the real stuff she's been

through and what she has learned in the process.

We discuss her upbringing in Hawaii and how that shaped her. We

discussed her early experience with competition, what it was like to win a little race called Western

States so early in her career. And of course the good and the bad that came from that amazing accomplishment.
