My name is Juliet Allen.

I'm a sexologist and a sex and relationship coach.

And I'm the creator and host of this podcast.

And in this episode of the podcast, we are talking about casual sex,

one night stands and trying before you buy.

Now, the reason why I've decided to dedicate an entire episode to these topics is because I recently posted on Instagram about the fact that we can have really great sex even on a one-night stand.

And there were quite a few people who commented.

One woman said that she finds it hard to believe that we can have empowered experiences with casual sex.

She then went on to rant about how men only want one thing,

etc. And it kind of made me think that there definitely is in our culture like this

assumption that casual sex can't be fulfilling or one nightstands can't feel empowering.

And then there's this generalisation that men want more sex than women and they only want

one thing. And I think that's rubbish. And I think that in reality, as humans, we all want

really great sex. And in the the end we want love and we want

connection and perhaps men speak about it more. I'm not sure but I really want to stand up for men

and saying that it's okay for men to want to have heaps of sex just as much as it's okay for women to want to have

heaps of sex. So yeah, I kind of felt inspired after doing that Instagram post and the other thing

is I myself have experienced a lot of casual sex and one night stands in the past and have

had some really great experiences and so I want to share
